Prairie Energy Cooperative, PECO, serves approximately 3,300 members through 4,900 meters. The primary service territory for PECO is Wright, Hancock, Webster as well as members in Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Winnebago and Worth Counties. Prairie Energy Cooperative was formed in July 2000 through the consolidation of Hancock County Rural Electric Cooperative, Garner, Iowa and Wright County Rural Electric Cooperative, Clarion, Iowa.
